Watches for small wrists: 46 mm lug-to-lug and under

The only list on the site sorted by the number that matters for a small wrist. Every watch here spans 46 mm or less from lug tip to lug tip, whatever its diameter says.

Checked 20 September 2026 · list prices on the maker's site that day unless marked street

A 6.5 inch wrist is about 52 mm across the top. A watch with a 46 mm lug-to-lug sits inside that with room to spare; a 48 mm one reaches the edges and a 50 mm one overhangs. Diameter has little to do with it: the 39 mm Lorier Neptune (46 mm) fits where the 38 mm Halios Universa II (48 mm) does not.

This page takes every watch in the data with a published lug-to-lug of 46 mm or less and sorts it by price. Makers that publish no lug-to-lug figure (Tissot, most Seikos, Tudor, Longines) cannot appear here, which is a point against them, not against the watches.

The floor, and included as such. $29.95, in stock, 35.2 mm across, 38.2 mm lug-to-lug, 8.5 mm thick, 21 g, resin case and crystal, 7-year battery. Casio lists water resistance with no metre rating, so the table shows a dash; do not swim in it on the strength of the page. The A168W-1 at $39.95 is the same idea in a chrome-plated case at 36.3 mm and 50 g. Every other watch on this page costs at least twice as much, and the spec sheets say what the money buys: a metre rating, a metal case and, from $150, sapphire.

The F91W in a metal-look case, and the one to buy of the two if 21 g reads as flimsy: 50 g in chrome-plated resin, 36.3 mm across, 38.6 mm lug-to-lug, 9.6 mm thick, with the same 7-year CR2016 battery and an EL backlight, $39.95 and in stock. Casio lists water resistance with no metre rating, as on the F91W, so the table shows a dash. The AE1200WH at the same $39.95 is the alternative: 100 m, a 10-year battery and world time, in a case 5.8 mm wider. The trade is that $10 over the F91W buys plating and 29 g and nothing else the sheet can show.

The most watch per dollar in the bracket: $39.95 buys 100 m, a 10-year battery and world time for 31 zones. 42.1 mm across, 45 mm lug-to-lug, 12.5 mm thick, 39 g, resin case and crystal, amber LED backlight. It was showing notify-me on casio.com on the check date. The F91W at $29.95 is the alternative for $10 less, with a 7-year battery and no metre rating; the DW5600E at $99.95 is the next step up, with shock resistance and 200 m. The trade is a resin crystal, which scratches, and a case 6.9 mm wider than the F91W's.

The thinnest diver on the page, and the one to buy if 10.4 mm matters more than an automatic. 39 mm, 46 mm lug-to-lug, 150 m, flat sapphire with anti-reflective coating, BGW9 lume, aluminium bezel with a lume pip, 20 mm lugs, $239 with two straps in the box. The movement is a Miyota GM12 quartz and the product page states assembly in Hong Kong; Vaer's USA-assembled D4 in the same 39 mm case is solar and $429. The alternative for the money is the San Martin 6200 at $275: an automatic and 50 m more for 2.6 mm of thickness. The DS2 Meridian colourways are $239 to $249 in 36, 39 and 42 mm.

The Spinnaker Croft at $280 list is the alternative for the money, 2 mm larger, 0.8 mm thicker and 50 m shallower. PT5000, SW200 and bronze versions exist in the same collection, and the trade on all of them is the word homage.

Seiko VK63 meca-quartz (quartz timekeeping, mechanical chronograph module with a snap-back reset), 13.5 mm thick, 50 m, double-domed K1 mineral crystal with anti-reflective coating, $290. Dan Henry's chronographs are all VK63 and the 1962 is the 39 mm one; the 1964 Gran Turismo is 38 mm and $310, over the line. The alternative for the money is the Vaer RS1 at $279, the same movement with 100 m and sapphire, noted below. The Dan Henry's trade is mineral glass and 50 m, and its argument is the case.

Boldr does not state the thickness on this listing, so the table shows a dash. The two Islanders at $249 are the alternative, $50 less, in steel, with 100 m; the Venture's 200 m is what separates them. The range runs $299 to $459, and the quartz Venture GMT at $299 was sold out in every dial. Boldr sells in drops, so the colour is the thing to verify before the price.

The crystal is sapphire-coated mineral rather than the 1962's K1, and the run is 1,964 pieces per colour. Against the 1962 the $20 buys 1.2 mm off the lug-to-lug, 0.6 mm off the thickness and the coating, and costs a millimetre of dial and the panda options. The 19 mm lug is the awkward figure; straps in that width are scarcer than 20 mm. Brew's Retrograph at $375 is the next meca-quartz up, with sapphire.

The smallest Vaer at 36 mm and 43 mm lug-to-lug, $319, and the one for a wrist under 6.5 inches or a shirt cuff: solar quartz, 100 m, 12 mm thick. The thickness is the price of a solar cell under a small dial, and it is 1.6 mm more than the 40 mm C5 on the same movement. The A12 at $1,099 shares the 36 mm and 43 mm footprint with a Sellita inside; the C3 is that case for $780 less, in quartz. The Nodus Unity at $675 is 36.5 mm and 43.5 mm on a Miyota 9015, if the movement matters more than the money.

No lume is stated. A searcher who expected a Submariner shape should look at the BB Diver (SN0128) and the SN0017 and SN0009 in the Classic collection, not fetched for this table. For the money the SN0149 at $399 gives an integrated bracelet and a Miyota; this gives enamel and 9.8 mm.

The 46 mm lug-to-lug on a 42.5 mm case is the SKX geometry, and why it fits wrists its diameter says it should not. The alternative for the money is the Islander Bayport at $349, sapphire and 200 m on the same movement architecture; the Seiko's trade is Hardlex, and what the extra dollar buys is the name.

A true GMT with 200 m at $599 on the Miyota 9075, and not in Lorier's current catalogue: the product URL returns a 404. 41 mm, 46 mm lug-to-lug, 12.2 mm thick, domed Hesalite, BGW9 and C1 Super-LumiNova, a rotating dive bezel, 20 mm lugs, on a bracelet; the price and specs are from a 2023 review. True GMT means the local hour jumps independently, where the Seiko 4R34 on the main list is a caller movement whose 24-hour hand sets instead. The Neptune at $699 is the Lorier that can be ordered, with sapphire and no GMT. The Hydra's trade is acrylic and availability.

The thin automatic at €545, and the cheapest way into a micro-rotor in the range: the Hangzhou CAL5000a is how a self-winding watch under a domed crystal comes in at 9.9 mm. 36 mm across, 44 mm lug to lug, 30 m, high-domed hesalite; the MR Roulette variants list at the same price, on Italian calf leather with a straight beads-of-rice bracelet option. The alternative is the Prismic, the same 36 mm by 44 mm case, 0.7 mm thinner, under sapphire and on a Swiss hand-wound, at €445 more. What €545 gives up is sapphire and any water resistance worth the name at 30 m, and the product page still calls the watch the MR01.

Stone dials in onyx, malachite and lapis are $650. Against the Commuter 36 it is 2 mm smaller across, 2.5 mm shorter and $60 less, and it gives up the date option and the 20 mm lug the rest of the range shares, which matters if you already own straps. Seiko VK64 meca-quartz, 50 m, sapphire with anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint coatings, on a burgundy and grey leather strap tapering 20 to 16 mm. The Ardesia Blu, Nero Sabbia and Castagna dials are the same price. The Charlie Paris GR at $645 is the VK64 alternative with 100 m for $80 less; the Furlan Marri's trade is 50 m, and what the $80 buys is the dial and the pushers.

The rose-gold Furlan Marri, same $725, same VK64, and the 4N rose gold PVD case is the whole difference from the Rosso Grigio above. 38 mm, 46 mm lug-to-lug, 12 mm thick with the crystal and 11.5 mm without, 50 m, sapphire with anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint coatings, a decagonal screwed caseback, 20 mm quick-release beige and brown leather tapering to 16 mm. Choose between the two on the case colour; the sheet does not separate them. The Charlie Paris Initial Cœur Ouvert at $695 is the other dress watch here for $30 less, an automatic; the Sabbia Rosa's trade is plating, which wears, and a quartz heart under mechanical pushers.

The 46 mm lug-to-lug on a 43 mm dial is the whole case argument: it is 2 mm shorter than the 39 mm Halios Fairwind at $775 and the same length as the 39 mm Lorier Hyperion. Traska's Commuter 38 at $700 runs the same 9039 in a hardened 38.5 mm case, 46 mm long, for $195 less; Halios's Universa II at $995 gives a Sellita SW300-1. The entry Doxa at $1,290, sold with a movement Doxa declines to name: the page says Swiss automatic, so the table says that and nothing more. 42 mm, 46 mm lug-to-lug, 13.8 mm thick, 19 mm lugs, 200 m, sapphire with AR, unidirectional bezel, Super-LumiNova, on the steel bracelet, or $1,250 on rubber. The lug-to-lug is the useful figure: 46 mm on a 42 mm case, shorter than the Seiko SPB317's 46.9 mm on 41 mm. For the same $1,290 the Serica 6190 below names its calibre and certifies it; the Doxa has the bezel and the case. The SUB 300T at $2,190 (42.5 mm, 13.65 mm, 1,200 m, no lug-to-lug published) is the next Doxa up, in the notes of the under-$2,500 list.

The 7505-2 lists at the same price and the 7505 TXD at €1,190. Against the 6190 it is 3 mm smaller, 5 mm shorter and 0.8 mm thinner on the same movement; the trade is dial area, and nothing else certified in this data set comes in this size.

The SW330-2 sets its 24-hour hand independently; the Miyota 9075 in the Traska and Nodus GMTs under $1,000 jumps the local hour, the more useful behaviour when the wearer is the one travelling. Against the Traska Venturer GMT at $950: 50 m more water resistance, an external bezel for an internal one, a Swiss movement for the Miyota, $625 more.

The case is the base Prismic's, 36 mm, 44 mm lug to lug, 9.2 mm thick, steel and grade 5 titanium, 30 m, double-domed sapphire, on a brushed steel mesh bracelet. The alternative at close to the money is Farer's Solander, the same D100 at $1,295 (£1,150) in a 38 mm case 1.25 mm thinner. The trade against the €990 Prismic is €460 for the stone and the calibre; the size and the rating do not move.

Zelos does not state where the watches are assembled, and the warranty is one year, the shortest on this page. The one 37 mm hi-beat on the site, and a better proportion than the 40 mm Grand Seikos for anyone under seven inches of wrist: 44.6 mm lug-to-lug, 13.3 mm thick, 100 m, the 9S85 running at ten beats a second, $7,300 on the US site. The thickness is the trade for the high beat and the ice-blue Mt Iwate dial is the reason people search for it. The Snowflake at $6,900 is the Spring Drive alternative for $400 less and 3 mm more case; the Explorer 36 at $7,900 is the Swiss one at the same size.

The Inflection with a solid 18k gold dial, rose or white, hand-finished in tremblage, in an edition of 50 with Massena LAB, HKD 326,300 on Atelier Wen's own feed, where it was listed in stock at check. Massena LAB's page showed it sold out at USD 44,100, and that is the only dollar figure anywhere in the range; it is the retailer's price, not the maker's. The sheet is the Inflection's: 40 mm, 45 mm lug to lug, 10.2 mm thick, 100 m, tantalum bracelet or FKM sailcloth, customised GP03300. Against the standard Inflection the HKD 92,400 is the gold and the tremblage, and the edition size against 100 a year.

A collaboration rather than a Massena LAB own-brand piece: Atelier Wen's Inflection case with a hand-guillochéd rose-gold dial, sold through Massena LAB at $44,100, the only dollar figure anywhere for an Inflection. It is here for completeness and for the number, which is the highest on the site by a wide margin. Atelier Wen's own Inflection allocations are priced in Hong Kong dollars on its site and run on a Girard-Perregaux GP03300; the guide for the brand has the rest. Nothing else in the data competes with it, and it would be dishonest to pretend something does.

The collaboration with J.N. Shapiro of Los Angeles, and a row with no price because the archive page showed none on 20 September 2026, only the excluding-taxes suffix: a grade-2 titanium dial hand engine-turned by Shapiro and heat-coloured by Ming Thein, in the 38 mm steel case, 44.5 mm lug-to-lug, 10.9 mm thick, 100 m, domed sapphire front and rear with HyCeram indices inside the top crystal, on a Sellita SW210.M1 hand-wound with about 42 hours. Atelier Wen's Ancestra puts a hand-hammered silver and enamel dial on a Pequignet at $5,850, 38 mm and 11.3 mm, and shows the price.

The bespoke jumping hour, with no price on its page, so it enters the table with a blank; the feed's sold-out editions ran EUR 3,800 (Disco Ball, Black Sapphire) to EUR 5,200 (250th Anniversary), with Meteorite between. 39.5 mm, 44 mm lug to lug, 11.5 mm thick, 80 m, 20 mm lug, steel, sapphire discs for the hour and minute displays, on a La Joux-Perret base with a custom jumping-hour mechanism and about 2 days of reserve. It is the shortest case in the range and the thickest; against the SB04-E at 46 mm the SB10 gives up 2 mm of length and 20 m of depth for the complication, which appears nowhere else in this data.
