Farer watches, model by model

Farer's 12 current lines run from $1,165 to $2,095 on its US storefront, every one Swiss Made on a Sellita or La Joux-Perret movement. The thing to know this season is stock: 7 of the 12 were sold out, out of stock or on pre-order on the day they were checked.

Checked 19 September 2026 · list prices on the maker's site that day unless marked street

Farer is a London brand, founded in 2015, that designs in London and has the watches made in Switzerland; the product pages carry Swiss Made and the brand's own story page says handmade there. It sells direct from farer.com and through a short retailer list (Time+Tide in London, James Porter & Son in Glasgow, Abt Saat in Istanbul and two online stores), with a 5-year guarantee. It prices in sterling and runs a separate US storefront, usd.farer.com, with its own dollar prices; those are set by Farer, not converted, and a US buyer pays the dollar figure shown there. Every dollar price on this page is from that storefront on 19 September 2026, with the sterling price alongside. The one exception is the Cuprum Integra, which showed no US price at check and is listed at £1,450 only, so a US buyer wanting one is buying in pounds.

The spec sheets settle three things. Every model has a sapphire crystal, and 10 of the 12 list an exhibition back; the Barnwell and Solander pages do not. Lug width is 20 mm on 10 lines, 18 mm on the 35 mm Marsden, and the Cuprum has an integrated 24 mm bracelet. Water resistance runs in four tiers: 50 m on the three hand-wound dress pieces (Marsden, Solander, Stratton), 100 m on the Resolute, Barnwell, Lander, Roché, Thorne, Libre and Cuprum, 200 m on the Nevada and 300 m on the Endeavour. Every movement is Swiss: Sellita calibres in Elaboré or Top Grade finish, and La Joux-Perret's G101 automatic (Resolute, Endeavour) and D100 hand-wound (Solander) in soignée grade.

Farer builds in small runs, and the runs sell through. The Libre is 100 units in total, the Stratton 150 with 75 in the first batch. On the check date the Cuprum, Endeavour, Roché and Solander were sold out, the Lander was listed as returning in spring 2027, the Stratton as returning in late 2026, and the Thorne was on pre-order to ship 14 October 2026. Each line also carries sibling dials at the same price (Curtis and Hewlett beside the Barnwell, Alert, Venture and Aurora beside the Resolute, and so on), and the table shows one representative per line. The 5 lines that carried no stock notice at check were the Marsden, Resolute, Barnwell, Nevada and Libre, and those are the 5 to shop from if the watch is wanted before the year is out.

Read the table by movement. Four lines are hand-wound: the Marsden (Sellita SW210-1), the Solander (La Joux-Perret D100), the Stratton (Sellita SW288-1 M moonphase) and the Libre (Sellita SW510M chronograph). Four are three-hand automatics: the Resolute and Endeavour on the La Joux-Perret G101, the Barnwell and Cuprum on the Sellita SW300-1. Two are GMTs on the Sellita SW330-2 (Lander, Nevada) and two are world timers on the SW331-2 (Roché, Thorne). The Cuprum sits first because it has no US price to sort by; in sterling it falls between the Lander and the Roché.

The alternative on the same G101 is the Endeavour at $150 more, and that $150 buys titanium, 300 m and a compressor bezel. The trade is 0.7 mm: the Resolute is the thinner watch, and the one rated for a sink rather than the sea.

Spec sheet: farer.com, checked 19 September 2026. Farer brand page.

Who it is for

Farer is for the buyer who wants Swiss Made on a Swiss movement in a case that runs short, and for the wrist under 6.5 inches: the Barnwell is 43 mm lug to lug at 40 mm, the Cuprum 42 mm at 38.5 mm, the Marsden 38 mm at 35 mm, and nothing in the range passes 45 mm lug to lug or 41.5 mm across. Look elsewhere if you want to buy this week, since 7 of the 12 lines were sold out, out of stock or on pre-order at check and Serica's 5303 at $1,850 is the direct comparison for the Endeavour; if you want a bracelet in the box, since only the Cuprum ships on one, the Endeavour's is £245 extra, and Halios's Universa II at $995 comes on its bracelet; or if the budget is under $1,000, since the cheapest Farer is $1,165 and Halios puts a Sellita in a case for less.

Where it sits against the field

In this data set Farer's nearest neighbour is Serica: both are Swiss Made, both sit between roughly $1,100 and $2,100, and Serica answers Farer's Sellita and La Joux-Perret movements with COSC-certified Soprod calibres. The Serica 5303 diving chronometer (39 mm, 46.5 mm lug to lug, 300 m, $1,850) is the direct comparison for the Endeavour ($1,370, 45 mm lug to lug, 300 m), and the Serica 8315 GMT ($2,450) is the comparison for the Lander and Nevada at $1,575; on those two pairs Farer is the cheaper watch by $480 and $875. Baltic overlaps on calibres rather than price: the Prismic Stone runs the Solander's La Joux-Perret D100 at €1,450, the Scalegraph runs the Libre's SW510-M at €1,585, and the Heures du Monde worldtimer (37 mm, Soprod C125, €1,300) undercuts the Roché and Thorne at $1,775. Halios's Universa II at $995 uses the Barnwell's SW300-1 in a 38 mm steel case, assembled in Canada rather than Switzerland.

Questions people ask

Where are Farer watches made?

Switzerland, to a London design: the product pages carry Swiss Made and the brand's story page says the watches are handmade there. Third-party reporting names Roventa-Henex in Tavannes and Bienne as the manufacturer, but that name does not appear on Farer's own pages. Sales are direct from farer.com and usd.farer.com, plus a short retailer list.

Are Farer watches Swiss?

Yes, by the Swiss Made marking on every product page and by the movements. Every current model runs a Swiss calibre: Sellita SW210-1, SW288-1, SW300-1, SW330-2, SW331-2 or SW510M in Elaboré or Top Grade finish, or La Joux-Perret's G101 automatic and D100 hand-wound in soignée grade. Each carries a 5-year guarantee.

Farer Lander vs Nevada: what is the difference?

The bezel and 100 m of water resistance, for the same $1,575 (£1,375) on the same Sellita SW330-2 Top Grade GMT. The Lander IV is 39.5 mm, 45 mm lug to lug, 11.3 mm thick, 100 m, with a fixed polished bezel. The Nevada is 40 mm, 44.8 mm lug to lug, 12.5 mm thick, 200 m, with a bidirectional 24-click sapphire bezel that tracks a third zone.
