Nivada Grenchen sells six core lines from $1,050 to $2,295 at list, all Swiss made and four of the six on the same Soprod P024. The 2026 addition is the automatic Autochron, a Valjoux 7750 chronograph on pre-order at $2,295 above a $530 mecaquartz version of the same watch.

Nivada Grenchen is a 1926 Swiss name from the town of Grenchen, revived in 2018 by Guillaume Laidet with Rémi Chabrat of the Montrichard Group, and it makes re-editions of its own archive: the Antarctic, the Chronomaster, the Depthmaster. It is unusual on this site in how it sells. Alongside its own store it sits in Watches of Switzerland, King Jewelers, Teddy Baldassarre and Exquisite Timepieces, and Hodinkee has had editions, so a buyer can see one in a case before paying, which no drop-model brand offers. Warranty is 2 years.
Three things the spec sheets settle. Every model is Swiss made, and the Antarctic Diver page goes further with "assembled and tested in Switzerland". The lug is 20 mm everywhere except the F77 at 22 mm and the Depthmaster, which does not state one. Crystals are double-domed sapphire on five of the six and plain sapphire on the Depthmaster. Water resistance runs in three tiers: 100 m on the Super Antarctic, F77 and Chronomaster, 200 m on the Antarctic Diver and Autochron, and 1,000 m on the bronze Depthmaster.
The movement ladder is the price ladder. Seiko mecaquartz runs the cheapest Autochron, Chronoking and F77 variants from $530, and those are excluded from the table because they are not mechanical. The Soprod P024 automatic runs the Antarctic, Super Antarctic, F77 and Depthmaster from $945 to $1,750. A Landeron 70 hand-wound chronograph runs the 38 mm Chronomaster at $2,085, an ETA Valjoux 7750 runs the automatic Autochron at $2,295, and restored vintage Valjoux 23 and 236 calibres sit in Chronomaster Valjoux editions at $5,000, which is where the range stops.

Read the table by movement. The four Soprod P024 watches share a 38 h reserve and differ in case: 38 mm field and diver, 37 mm integrated sport, 39 mm bronze diver. The two chronographs are the expensive half, and the choice there is a hand-wound Landeron at 14.55 mm or an automatic Valjoux at 15.2 mm. Prices are the strap price; the bracelet adds $200 on every model that offers one.

The cheapest mechanical Nivada at $1,050 on a strap, $1,250 on the bracelet, and the one whose page says assembled and tested in Switzerland: 38 mm, 12.9 mm thick, 200 m, unidirectional ceramic bezel with lumed markers, Soprod P024. Lug-to-lug is not published, which at 38 mm matters less than it would at 42. Christopher Ward's C60 Trident Pro 300 in 38 mm is £1,000 with 300 m, 11 mm and a stated 45 mm lug-to-lug; Yema's Navygraf Heritage is $1,090 at 10.85 mm. The Nivada answers with the ceramic bezel and the retail network. The no-date versions are sold out.

The field version of the same 38 mm case at $1,145, and sold out in every configuration on the check date: 45 mm lug-to-lug, 12 mm thick, 100 m, fixed bezel, Soprod P024, gold medallion caseback. The whole Antarctic and Super Antarctic range, 35 mm and 38 mm, runs $945 to $1,145 in the feed, so this is the top of it. Serica's 6190 at $1,290 is the alternative with a COSC Soprod M100, 200 m and 10.4 mm; Formex's Field Automatic 40 is $975 at 10.6 mm. Against those the Nivada's 12 mm is thick for a 100 m field watch, and the argument is the 1950s dial, not the sheet.

The F77 is 2.7 mm thicker than the Twelve at the same 100 m, and the 22 mm lug narrows the strap choice. Buy it for the 37 mm and the 1977 shape.

The page quotes $1,750, EUR 1,650 and CHF 1,600; the product feed lists $1,845, and a buyer should expect the higher one. Thickness is 13 mm; lug-to-lug and lug width are not stated. Steel Depthmasters run $1,050 to $1,355. Vertex's M60 Aqualion is £2,375 for 600 m COSC at 14 mm; Doxa's Sub 300T is $2,190 for 1,200 m at 42.5 mm. At 39 mm the Depthmaster is the smallest 1,000 m watch in the data, and the bronze is what the $395 to $700 over the steel buys.

The hand-wound chronograph at $2,085 on a strap, $2,285 on a bracelet, and low in stock: 38 mm, 14.55 mm thick, 100 m, Landeron 70 with 45 h, and five interchangeable aluminium bezels in the box. The original Panda Manual listing was 13.75 mm at $1,975 to $2,175, the inter-bezel Broad Arrow and Orange Boy sit at the same $1,975 to $2,175, and the 41 mm Chronomasters are $2,295 to $2,495. Farer's Libre is $2,095 on a Sellita SW510 M at 13.4 mm with a stated 44 mm lug-to-lug; Baltic's Scalegraph is €1,585 at 13.5 mm. The Nivada does not publish its lug-to-lug. It does give you five bezels, and nothing else in the data does.
The automatic chronograph at $2,295 on a strap, $2,495 on a bracelet, on pre-order with shipping in early October: ETA Valjoux 7750 with 48 h, 38 mm, 44.3 mm lug-to-lug, 200 m, and 15.2 mm thick, or 12.7 mm if you measure to the case and not the crystal. The mecaquartz Autochron is $530 to $730 in the same case, so $1,565 buys the movement and the 200 m. Traska's Chronograph is $1,650 on a Seiko NE86 at 11.8 mm and 75 m; Bravur's Grand Tour is $2,550 on a Sellita SW511b at 100 m. The Nivada is 3.4 mm thicker than the Traska and the only one rated to 200 m; 44.3 mm lug-to-lug is short for a 7750.
Nivada is for the buyer who wants a Swiss made re-edition at 37 to 39 mm, wants to try it in a shop first, and does not mind that the shop is Watches of Switzerland. The cases are short where they are measured: 45 mm lug-to-lug on the Super Antarctic and F77, 44.3 mm on the Autochron, so a 6.5 inch wrist is fine. Look elsewhere if thickness matters, since the range runs 12 mm to 15.2 mm and Serica's 6190 is 10.4 mm for $1,290; if you want lug-to-lug on every spec sheet, since the Antarctic Diver, Depthmaster and Chronomaster omit it; or if you want the drop-and-waitlist ordering of a true microbrand, because Nivada is a retail brand and the high-end ranking leaves it off for that reason.
Where it sits against the field
At $1,050 the Antarctic Diver is priced against Christopher Ward's C60 Trident Pro 300 at £960 to £1,000, Yema's Navygraf Heritage at $1,090 and Halios's Seaforth IV at $805, and it is the only one of the four with a ceramic bezel and the only one sold in a shop. At $1,360 the F77 sits under Christopher Ward's The Twelve and Farer's Cuprum Integra and is thicker than both. At $2,085 the Chronomaster meets Farer's Libre at $2,095 and Baltic's Scalegraph at €1,585 on the same class of hand-wound Sellita; Massena LAB's Uni-Racer is $3,495 for a 9 mm version of the idea. The Depthmaster's 1,000 m has one rival in the data, Doxa's Sub 300T at $2,190, and it is $440 cheaper and 3.5 mm smaller.
